It is a rare and special privilege to be able to promote something that I personally enjoy.
Long-time readers will remember that I’m a advocate for minimalist artistic styles along with a comprehensive approach to presentation beyond ‘hey, the art is pretty!’. One of the best ways to accomplish both of these goals is through music and providing your projects with a distinct score can make a world of difference in this particular genre of gaming. Acoustic Labs is a project I have been following for a while, as I love the atmospheres Gregory Campbell Johnson can build with his work.
Today, he announced the launch of the Aeterna Audio Library: a royalty-free music site featuring his unique, ambient style. While the music is geared towards video productions, I do believe that EVN developers can take advantage here for their own projects. You can buy tracks a la carte or subscribe to Aeterna for $10 a month. Please check out the site yourselves to see if you’d be interested in its services and you can see the full announcement on the Acoustic Labs YouTube page here. For those who want a small sample of what they can expect from Acoustic Labs, I’ve included a video of one of my favorite compositions. Feel free to give it a listen! JP3: OUT
