    The observation on the horizontal CG is interesting: generally speaking, VNs are full of CGs with tilted views, but these are usually laid on a diagonal line. Additionally, we tend to find it easier to read images from left to right, so placing the head (the most likely point you’re going to focus on) on the upper-right corner is most likely the biggest reason why one would tilt their head when seeing that image.

    A diagonal line makes the image more dynamic (though it shouldn’t be used too much, as it’s still a bit of a cheap trick), a horizontal line will give more of a sense of peace (think of the sea, for example), while a vertical line will give more of a sense of alert.

    These are all interesting things about composition that you get taught in art school and are really useful if used consciously to aid the narration.
