Patience, my friends. Patience.

At the beginning of 2018 I said that Route 59’s Necrobarista was my Most Anticipated VN for the year. Unfortunately, I may have jinxed it because today the developer said the project will be released early next year. It will be coming to PC, Nintendo Switch and the PS4 and has only grown in notice after the announcement last year that that the VN will be on the Switch. And while I, and presumably others, will be disappointed not to get this trippy adventure started in 2018, Route 59 is working to satiate our appetite.

For one, we have a new trailer that is absolutely fantastic and focused more on the game’s atmosphere and visuals. We’ve linked it here and we recommended you give it a watch because it is great marketing work from the group. Secondly, there is a new demo for Necrobarista that will make its debut this year at PAX West in Seattle (August 31 – September 3) and PAX Australia in Melbourne (October 26-28). If you plan to be in attendance, I encourage you to seek out the demo and try it yourself. Hopefully for the rest of us, there will be a downloadable demo in the near future.  For now though, I am still excited to play this one and wish everyone at Route 59 the best of luck as they near the end of Necrobarista’s development.

If you want more information about Necrobarista, you can visit the Route 59 twitter page here and it’s Steam page here if you want to add it to your Wish List. JP3: OUT.
