The worst feeling in the world is not knowing for sure if someone is guilty of a crime. Accusation, by itself, is a terrible thing to hang on a person without any further conviction. This is the moral mess Angela He pulls the audience into with He Beat Her. We play it from the point-of-view of a defense attorney trying to figure out that very question with their client. None of the evidence you find as your question both parties leads to anything definitive. It mirrors how messes these issues can be in a court and how often attorneys have to cut deals or prosecute the accused with no real way of knowing for sure the guilt or innocence of the people in the middle. By the end of the game, I can safely say you may have a very strong opinion of what happened…just like everyone else.
