Icebound is a rather easy-going game considering some of its elements. It is probably one of the more predictable games on this list, but that’s not a bad thing. Dougal’s adventures have almost a Slice-of-Life aura around them as he bounces back and forth exploring the new city he has found himself in, getting to know other alchemist who have also been summoned to this quiet, frozen town and learn more about the secrets of this world. It’s remarkably easy to get into his character, his motivations and even understand how the others around him are approaching their own life choices. As a way to step into the water and better acclimate to the larger environment of EVNs, this is a solid place to start.
